Lauren's Hourglass
Occasionally we'll share a reader submission and today we have a piece contributed by Lauren. She sent in this cool hourglass:

"I decided on an hourglass after wanting something to represent living your life to the fullest and realizing time is precious. After thinking and going through all the quotes I could find I decided I would get an hourglass to represent it all. Paul Anthony Dobleman at Spider Murphy's Tattoo in San Rafael, CA is a genius. He has done about 75% of my tattoos and he took my idea and ran with it. Exactly what I wanted. Couldn't be happier! Cara Mengenali Keaslian Tas Bermerek
Fashion merupakan industri yang rawan penjiplakan. Maka, di sejumlah negara, jual beli barang fashion palsu sudah tergolong perbuatan kriminal.
Maraknya penjualan busana, alas kaki, tas dan barang tiruan telah meresahkan para disainer, terutama yang menjual secara online. Di AS, lonjakan penjualan barang palsu bermerek lewat online mencapai 42 persen pada 2010. Dan pertumbuhannya diperkirakan akan semakin tinggi.
Pembajakan dan pemalsuan barang umumnya pada merek-merek ternama seperti Chanel, Louis Vitton dan Tiffany. Akibat pemalsuan, produsen fashion ini pernah mengugat sejumlah pihak yang menjual barang palsu sebagai merek mereka secara online.
Angie Houston, pendiri MyPoupette.com, sebuah website yang menawarkan layanan tas disainer dan barang bermerek lainnya selama belasan tahun menyebut semakin sulit membedakan mana barang asli dan palsu. Namun tetap saja ada beberapa kelemahan barang bermerek 'aspal'. "Tidak ada tas yang benar-benar dapat meniru aslinya," katanya seperti dikutip Shine.
Menurutnya ada beberapa hal yang dapat dieksplorasi untuk menentukan sebuah tas adalah tas asli buatan disainer atau tidak. Berikut enam diantaranya:
1. Perangkat keras
Ritsleting, jepit dan dan penutup, semua harus memiliki warna yang sama, kecuali tas buatan Chloe, yang sering membuat penggunaan pelengkap berwarna campuran. Pastikan ritsleting membuka dan menutup dengan lancar.
2. Jahitan, bentuk dan simetri
Tas bermerek umumnya tidak dilem, kecuali mungkin dompet. Tas asli Louis Vuitton biasanya menggunakan kanvas monogram, dan simbol biasanya dijahit seperti cermin pada sisi kanan dan kiri. Gucci dan Fendi juga mulai melakukan hal yang sama sejak diambil alih oleh LVMH. Pastikan tas yang Anda lihat memiliki pola dan bentuk yang sama seperti gambar rancangan disainernya.
3.Tulisan dan logo
Tulisan logo dalam ejaan yang benar, setiap ukiran atau tulisan timbul (emboss) harus terlihat rapi dan akurat. Buku instruksi tidak memiliki salah eja atau difotokopi.
4. Aroma kulit
Tas dari kulit asli harus memiliki aroma kulit, bukan lem, karet atau bahan kimia.
5. Harga
Berhati-hatilah saat melihat harga tas. Jika tas asli bermerek biasanya Rp7-10 jutaan namun seseorang menawarkan dengan harga lebih murah, tas yang Anda beli bisa dipastikan palsu.
6. Jauhi website 'penjual tas disainer'
Banyak produsen tas yang memiliki outlet dan toko online sendiri. Jika Anda melihat sebuah website yang tidak dijalankan bukan oleh produsen itu sendiri, berharga sangat mahal dan dapat membeli beberapa buah sekaligus, berhati-hatilah.

Namun perayaan ulan tahun pernikahan itu seperti tidak berjalan lancar, karena mereka dikabarkan bertengkar. Bahkan, Ashton terlihat sendiri meninggalkan bar. Nah, pada saat itulah Ashton dikabarkan bertemu dengan Sara.
"Ashton tidak terlihat seperti seseorang yang sedang merayakan ulang tahun pernikahannya," ungkap salah seorang pengunjung bar kepada Ace Showbiz, Kamis (29/9/2011).
Demi More pun dikabarkan sudah mengetahui tentang perselingkuhan suaminya itu dan berencana mengakhiri pernikahan mereka. Bahkan aktris berumur 48 tahun itu telah menemukan tambatan hati yang lain.
"Ashton adalah seorang penipu dan Demi sudah tidak tahan lagi," papar seorang sumber.
Kabar perselingkuhan aktor kelahiran 7 Februari 1978 itu memang bukan yang pertama kali. Sebelumnya, Ashton sempat dikabarkan selingkuh dengan Britney Jones seorang gadis berumur 21 tahun.
Sipat lelaki untuk merasakan yang baru akan tetap selalu ada,tetapi akan bijaklah kita kalau kita melihat dengan kaca mata yang lengkap buakan sebelah,kabar perselingkuhan ataupun menyakiti pasangan bukan hanya lelaki yang menjadi aktornya, banyak juga perempuan yang menjadi biang kehancuran dalam suatu hubungan.

Anthony's Phenomenal Marilyn Monroe Portrait
Without question, Marilyn Monroe has appeared more on Tattoosday than any other celebrity, living or dead. You'd think I'd get tired of seeing her in ink, but I never do. Probably because there are artists out there doing this:
This portrait is on the left leg of Anthony, a photographer I met on Penn Plaza a couple weeks ago. The work is based on this famous photograph:
Anthony credited the artist as Horacio Martinez, at Golden Eagle Tattoo in Santa Barbara, California. The detail in the piece is really spectacular:
When I asked why he chose to ink the legendary actress on his leg, he said, "I was in photo school at the time and we were doing a lot of Hollywood glamor stuff and it was just kind of, on a whim. Why not?"
The piece is two years old and took only three and a half hours for Horacio to complete.
